OYIS is seeking a passionate, energetic, and student-centered Music Teacher to lead a dynamic, performance-based music program for our Preschool to Grade 10 students. We are not looking at a typical music class—this is a place where students learn by doing: picking up instruments, forming bands, writing songs, performing, and discovering the joy of music through real-life application.
The teacher will empower students to explore and experiment with musical practices and techniques, fostering their ability to create music as a means of communication. Through engaging lessons and hands-on experiences, they will provide opportunities for students to interpret, explain, and evaluate music, nurturing a lifelong appreciation for the arts. The teacher is responsible for leading and coordinating school music events throughout the year.
