IB MYP/DP English Language Acquisition

Introduction:
Gunma Kokusai Academy is a leading educational institution based in Japan, offering a high-quality English immersion education to a predominantly Japanese student body. We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified IB MYP/DP English Language Acquisition Teacher to join our team.

Position Overview:
As an IB English Language Acquisition Teacher, you will inspire students to explore and analyze a diverse range of texts while developing their critical thinking and communication skills. Your role will involve creating engaging lessons that challenge students’ perspectives and encourage creative expression. Collaboration with fellow educators is essential to design curriculum-aligned activities that foster a love for literature and effective writing. You will guide students in building their analytical skills, preparing them for success in the IB programme and beyond.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
– A minimum qualification of a Diploma in Education or related field
– At least 5 years of teaching experience
– Knowledge of the IB curriculum for Language Acquisition
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
– Ability to support language learners of various proficiency levels
– Experience using technology in the classroom
