Primary Class Teacher

Malvern College Tokyo is seeking to appoint talented, enthusiastic, and energetic members of staff to join from August 2025.

This position will be expected to teach and support the PYP programme. As a Malvern College teacher the postholder will play a full role in the school’s curricular, co-curricular and pastoral programmes.

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher with experience in inquiry-based teaching and expertise in developing and facilitating learning across the curriculum. While experience in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) is strongly preferred, candidates with experience in other inquiry-based educational settings will also be valued. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching for understanding and transfer, integrating disciplinary knowledge into meaningful, relevant and engaging learning experiences. Proven excellence in teaching Science, Social Studies and Mathematics is highly desirable at this time of posting. Additionally, the successful candidate will foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports pupil inquiry and exploration. They will collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching practices. They will establish effective communication channels with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support learning and well-being for all our children.
