OYIS is seeking a dedicated and experienced EAL Teacher to support primary school students in developing their English language proficiency. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering curiosity, independence, and lifelong learning while providing tailored support for EAL students. This role involves collaborating with teachers, assessing student progress, and implementing effective EAL strategies within the PYP framework.

Job Description
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in teaching with a specialisation in primary education; or Bachelor’s Degree in English Arts with a Post-Graduate Certificate or Diploma in primary education
- 2+ years experience teaching students English as an additional language
- Native level (or near) English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Efficient level of ICT literacy (with experience in using GSuite for Education)
Desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in education with a specialisation in English as an Additional Language
- Experience in an IBPYP setting
- Experience with a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework
- Experience with the implementation of Universal Design for Learning
- Experience with Reading and Writing Workshop Framework
- Experience with Concept Based Inquiry Mathematics Project
- Experience in implementing restorative practices

- Report learning progress regularly with parents
- Take ownership of the achievements of students
- Advocate for and promote inclusive practices within the classroom and throughout the school
- Accompany students on study trips
