Position: Student Engagement & Community Relations Coordinator
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Engagement & Community Relations Coordinator to join our team of educators. The Student Engagement & Community Relations Coordinator supports the school’s mission by promoting educational programs and facilitating access for prospective and current students. This role involves designing and implementing outreach, engagement, and retention strategies to foster community relationships and enhance student success. We currently have approximately 140 students in the Senior School. This position involves a teaching role.
Description:
Overarching Responsibilities:
– Plan and execute targeted outreach initiatives to engage schools, community organisations, and other key stakeholders.
– Develop and maintain materials and resources to support outreach efforts, including digital and print content.
– Coordinate and conduct presentations, campus tours, and information sessions to promote the school’s programs and services.
– Facilitate student onboarding processes, including orientation, admissions support, and access to student services.
– Track and analyse student engagement data to inform program improvement and measure effectiveness.
– Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community organisations to foster strong, collaborative relationships including BGHS.
– Organise and oversee student internship opportunities, including liaising with partner organisations and tracking student progress.
– Perform administrative tasks, including managing high school timetabling to ensure efficient scheduling and resource allocation.
– Supervise Grade 10, 11, and 12 wellbeing leaders to ensure consistent support and guidance for students.
– Lead the Senior School outdoor education program including annual overnight trips.
– Support the registrar in monitoring student attendance to ensure compliance and address any concerns.
– Collaborate with faculty, staff, and leadership to align outreach activities with strategic goals.
– Contribute positively to the school’s climate and act as an ambassador within the community.
– Other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Skills and Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
– Minimum of 3 years experience as a homeroom teacher
– Experience with IB MP/DP curriculum preferred
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students
– Strong organizational skills
